Saving ADS-B data permanently for the future with an incentivized model

ADS-B is an important piece of technology in aviation safety. It is used to track aircraft without using traditional radar systems.

What is Derad Network doing? ⤵
  1. Enhancing capabilities of ADS-B: While maintaining backward compatibility, improving the reliability of collected data, and minimizing the risk of data tampering.
  2. Historical Data Storage: We will store ADS-B data permanently on Arweave, a decentralized data storage provider. This data will be freely accessible to everyone, forever.
  3. Global Coverage: We aim to aggregate ADS-B data to create global coverage. The collected data will be available at no cost for any non-profit, research, or humanitarian purposes, with no conditions.
  4. Incentivized Model: If someone profits from the real-time data our community provides, they will be required to pay for its use. This fee applies only to for-profit purposes. All revenue will be distributed as follows: ⤵
    • 70% 🡒 will go to the individuals who provide the data (the feeders), as they are the foundation of the network.
    • 20% 🡒 will be used to subsidize the installation of new ADS-B receivers in underserved areas, helping to expand coverage where it's needed most.
    • 5% 🡒 will cover the costs of storing the data on Arweave, ensuring that it remains available permanently.
    • 5% 🡒 will go to the Derad Foundation to support the ongoing development and improvement of the platform.

The Derad Foundation plans to subsidize the installation of 500-700 new ADS-B receivers each year in areas with limited or no coverage. If you're in an area with weak coverage and want to help, we'll send you a free ADS-B receiver.

Joining the network and feeding data will be free, and no special equipment will be required.
